It's the last month of 2024! Where did the time go?! While it felt fast, this was a BIG year of growth for Null. We don't have a ton of new updates this month but here's a quick recap of the year:
Doubled our team size
Attended 12 live events
Launched Athena Crisis in Early Access and 1.0
Signed 3 new games
Null Goes to Poland
We crossed the Atlantic Ocean to land in Kraków, Poland! It may have been cold but we received a warm welcome and some great face-to-face time with Paradark Studio. They're currently working on their cyberpunk western game ExeKiller, which we're pretty psyched for.
Last but not least, we ate more than our fair share of pierogies. Highly recommend.
Streetdog BMX’s First Playtest
This month, Streetdog BMX kicked off its first official Steam playtest. Players got a long-awaited chance to get hands-on with the game and share their thoughts with us and the rest of the community. Big thank you to everyone who participated! If haven’t signed up before and are interested in future playtests, you can enter here.
Feel free to share any cool clips in the SDBMX Discord. We’d love to feature them on our social channels.
Demon Spore Delay
We've gotten some great feedback about Demon Spore as it traveled around the world this year (PAX, GDC, IGN Live, SXSW Sydney). After some time, we found new opportunities to make Demon Spore a fuller experience with deeper progression and narrative... and even more that we're excited to talk about soon.
With that said, we're shifting the release date to 2025. There are some cool things coming up on the horizon so keep an eye out for updates in the new year!
In the mean time, check out the latest update from developer Ed Kay on Demon Spore’s weapon design.
Steam Winter Sale
Athena Crisis is part of the Steam Winter Sale, where you can grab it for 25% off! It’s the deepest discount we’ve had all year so do yourself a favor and get a copy if you’re a strategy lover. The sale runs from December 19 to January 2nd.
Happy Holidays!
We hope everyone gets some well-deserved rest over the holiday break. (Some of us will be wrapping themselves in a blanket cocoon for the remainder of the year) Null will also be out of office from December 23 to January 6, so we'll see you all in the new year! Stay warm out there.
Your Critter of the Month is Crunchwrap, who is more gremlin than cat!
