Null Games, the developer-friendly indie publisher of modern retro games, today announced that it has appointed industry veteran Michael Ailshie to the role of General Manager. With more than 10 years of games industry experience across a wide range of publishing, operations, and development roles, Ailshie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the global Null Games organization. At Null, Ailshie will manage general operations, studio and team health, developer and partner relations, and strategy in partnership with his all-star colleagues across every discipline.

Ailshie has been instrumental in the operational success and growth of renowned indie studios and AAA developers alike, serving as the Operations Manager for Supergiant Games on iconic games like Hades. At Night School: A Netflix Game Studio, he oversaw studio operations and provided production support for their catalog of critically-acclaimed titles. He led the scaling development for Fortnite, Rocket League, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Creative as the Lead External Development Manager at Epic Games.

"We're really excited to have Michael Ailshie join our team as General Manager," said Chris Wanstrath, Founder and President of Null Games. "The first time I spoke with Michael, I could tell how much he loves helping game developers bring their ideas to life. His experience and passion are going to be a huge boon for Null, our mission, and, ultimately, the people playing our games."

“I’m delighted to be joining the Null Games team as there is nothing more important to me than treating creative developers and passionate players with the respect and fairness they deserve, and I’m thrilled to be joining a publisher as committed to those ideals as I am,” said Michael Ailshie, General Manager of Null Games. "With a stellar lineup of new titles on the horizon - from Chainstaff, to Demon Spore, Streetdog BMX, and ExeKiller - Null is quickly demonstrating its bona fides as publisher of compelling, unique, and just plain fun video games. I am eager and excited to contribute to the long-term development of Null's publishing slate, and to connect exceptional and inspiring game developers with audiences around the world.”

Ailshie graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with honors. He hails from Los Angeles, CA where he spends most of his non-work time enjoying B-to-Z grade horror movies, strolling around town with his pit-mix Chili Cheese, or listening to true crime podcasts. Fans may also recognize him as the voice of Orpheus in Supergiant’s hit action-RPG roguelike Hades.
